Welcome!
Here's where I get to write a little about myself. However, instead of writing a paragraph about myself, I'm going to play to one of my strengths: list making.
• I have been a teacher at Highland Park since 1996.
• I live in the Hyland neighborhood.
• I'm married to Tim Leyden, a teacher (and great guy) at Beaverton High School.
• We have two beautiful, smart, funny daughters
• I love to travel, entertain friends and family, make puns and teach.
• I have the same lunch almost everyday -- roast beef and pepper jack cheese roll-up and an apple.
• I love coffee, but only in the morning, and I love chocolate, all the time.
• I love the smell of freshly peeled oranges, but don't really enjoy eating them!
• My favorite books are all the Harry Potter books, The Help, All the Broken Pieces, The Secret Life of Bees, and everything by Sharon Creech.
• I lived in Europe (in Poland) for two years with my husband and I dream of visiting Africa and Australia.
